Health Guarantee
Seller guarantees this cat/kitten to be in sound health at the time of sale. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to have this cat/kitten examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours (3 business days) after adoption to activate the three-year health guarantee. If the kitten is found to have an untreatable or life-threatening illness (verified by documentation from a licensed veterinarian), the Seller must be notified immediately. Seller will replace the kitten with another of equal value at the Seller’s first opportunity.
The kitten cannot be returned after the 72-hour health guarantee period has expired or if it has been exposed to another cat that has not been tested for FeLV and FIV. After this period, the Seller cannot be held accountable for FeLV, FIV, FIP, or any other bacterial, viral, parasitic, or fungal infections acquired after leaving the Seller’s home.
It is recommended that any new cat or kitten be quarantined from other animals for at least seven days.
This cat/kitten cannot be guaranteed to be free from Feline Enteric Coronavirus (FeCV). While most strains of FeCV cause only mild symptoms, some can mutate into Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). There is no definitive test for FIP except via necropsy and histology. If the kitten dies from FIP before six months of age, the Seller will replace the kitten under the following conditions:
A complete necropsy, histopathology, and microscopic examination of tissue by a trained pathologist must be performed.
A signed necropsy report must be submitted to the Seller.
A six-week waiting period must pass before introducing a new kitten into the home.
Buyer must grant access to veterinary records and allow Seller to speak with the Buyer’s veterinarian.
If Buyer has had other sick cats or previous cases of FIP in their home, the Seller cannot replace the kitten.
Buyer must provide immediate veterinary care to any cat/kitten showing signs of illness. Failure to do so voids this guarantee. All veterinary expenses are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.
All sales are final after 72 hours. No refunds, returns, or exchanges except as outlined in this agreement. Deposits are non-refundable.
This cat/kitten is guaranteed against congenital defects up to the age of five years. If a life-threatening defect appears within this period, it must be documented by a licensed veterinarian. Upon providing this documentation, Seller will replace the cat/kitten with another of equal value at the Seller’s first opportunity. No monetary refunds will be issued.
Spaying and Neutering
We do choose to spay and neuter our kittens before they go home. This decision was made after extensive conversations with our veterinarians and is based on current veterinary research supporting early spay and neuter. Studies have shown that pediatric spay/neuter does not negatively impact growth or development when done appropriately, and it actually offers several benefits. These include a significantly reduced risk of mammary cancer in females, elimination of the risk of pyometra, and reduced hormone-driven behaviors such as spraying, roaming, and aggression. Early altering is also associated with faster healing, fewer surgical complications, and shorter recovery times compared to procedures done later in life. From a behavioral and welfare standpoint, it allows kittens to mature without the stress of hormonal cycles while ensuring they cannot be used for unethical or accidental breeding. Overall, it’s a proactive, preventative approach that supports both long-term health and quality of life.
Diet
For diet, our cats and kittens are fed a high-quality raw diet using Steve’s Real Food, which we source from a local feed store. It’s a complete and balanced raw diet that provides all the nutrients needed for proper growth and overall health. In addition, we supplement with L-lysine, probiotics, gum-health supplements, and DMG (a mushroom blend for overall health and wellness). We also add about ¼ can of Nulo Shreds wet food for taste. Raw food is fed once daily in the evening and is portioned based on each cat’s weight. We also provide Nulo cat & kitten dry kibble for free feeding throughout the day. All of our cats remain on a kitten diet to support optimal nutrition.
DNA Testing
We DNA test only our breeding cats, not individual kittens. This allows us to ensure the health of our breeding program without putting unnecessary testing on the babies.
Echocardiograms
We do yearly echocardiograms on our breeding cats.
Hip dysplasia
Hip dysplasia testing is done one time only, as it’s a structural condition that does not change once maturity is reached, so repeat testing isn’t necessary.
Vaccinations
Kittens go home with all age-appropriate vaccines, which can vary depending on how old they are when they leave for their forever homes. They also go home microchipped and altered.
Vaccination & Outdoor Policy
All health guarantees are void if the cat/kitten has access to the outdoors or is given the FIP, FeLV, FIV, or any live or modified live vaccinations. Live or modified live vaccinations have been known to cause fatal reactions.
Buyer must remind their veterinarian to avoid administering live or modified live vaccinations before every vaccination.
Declawing Policy
Declawing is strictly prohibited. Declawing involves amputating the last joint of the cat’s toes and may lead to significant behavioral and health issues, including litter box aversion and aggression. Any health guarantees are void if the cat/kitten is declawed.
Deposit & Payment Policy
A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a kitten.
The remaining $2,500 balance is due 7 days before pickup (12 weeks of age).
Payments are accepted via Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp.
If the Buyer changes their mind before pickup, your deposit may be applied toward a different available kitten.
Pickup & Transportation
Kittens are available for pickup at 12 weeks of age at the earliest. This ensures they are well-socialized and ready for their new homes.
If transportation is required, the Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with travel, including health certificates and courier fees. Courier nanny recommendations are available upon request.
Rehoming Policy
If the Buyer is no longer able to keep the cat/kitten, the Buyer must first offer to return it to the Seller at no cost. Under no circumstances may this cat/kitten be sold, leased, or given away to a pet store, research facility, humane society, or similar organization.
Legal Terms
If a dispute arises, the place of venue for legal action shall be in the Seller’s state and county.
Any legal fees incurred to uphold this contract will be paid by the Buyer.
This contract is legally binding and applies only to the Buyer and Seller named in this agreement. It is non-transferable to other parties. If the Buyer sells or transfers ownership of the cat/kitten, this contract becomes null and void.
Acknowledgment: By joining our waitlist, both parties agree to all terms outlined in this agreement.
